The Fieldbus Foundation German Marketing Committee (FFGMC) welcomes Fatih Denizer as its new chairman. Denizer, currently Industrial Marketing-Automation/Industrial Automation Business Development with Yokogawa Deutschland GmbH, replaces Thomas Kasten of Pepperl+Fuchs who has stepped down from the position after two years following a change in his role at Pepperl+Fuchs.
The FFGMC was formally established in 2005 in its current format to promote an increased awareness and adoption of FOUNDATION
technology throughout Germany and Switzerland through a range of end-user-focused activities including training, technical support, trade show participation and end user seminars.
Fully supported by the Fieldbus Foundation EMEA Executive Advisory Council (EAC) and the Fieldbus Foundation EMEA Steering Committee, the FFGMC plays an important role in promoting the primary value propositions of FOUNDATION technology, which include process integrity, business intelligence and open, scalable integration of information across process manufacturing plants.
Denizer has been an active member of the FFGMC since 2007 and has held the position of vice-chairman since February 2010, formerly with Christian Springer of Emerson Process Management GmbH
, who will continue in this role. Prior to this, Denizer participated in the committee's 'Industry Associations', 'End User/EPC Organization', and 'Marketing/Communications/PR' functions.
Denizer has been with Yokogawa at the Ratingen facility since December 2011. Prior to this, he spent over 11 years with Emerson Process Management as lead system engineer and formerly as sales support engineer. He graduated in 1999 from FH Bochum with Dipl.Ing. Elektrotechnik (Automatisierung).
Marc Van Pelt, vice-president, Fieldbus Foundation EMEA Operations, welcomes Denizer into his new role. "I am delighted that Fatih has agreed to take on an increased role within the German marketing committee," said Van Pelt. "We have an enthusiastic core team that has continued to build on the dedicated efforts of the past seven years. We are very grateful to Thomas Kasten for his contribution to these efforts, in particular to his huge contribution in coordinating the Fieldbus Foundation's participation in the key German trade exhibitions, Hannover Fair and ACHEMA. We wish him well in his new role within Pepperl+Fuchs."
The FFGMC currently has 26 member companies including: ABB, BIS Prozesstechnik, Bürkert, CodeWrights, Emerson Process Management, Endress+Hauser, Heinrichs Messtechnik, Hirschmann, Honeywell, Invensys, Krohne, Leoni, Mettler Toledo, M&M Software, MTL, Pepperl+Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Rockwell Automation, Samson, Siemens, Smar, Softing, Stahl, Turck, Wika and Yokogawa.
