Help make your next Emerson product easier to use

See the next generation of Emerson technology
Have you ever wished an Emerson product was just a bit faster to set up, more intuitive to use? This week at Exchange you have your chance to see that the next generation of Emerson technology is just that. Emerson’s Human-Centered Design Institute (HCDI) is hosting a Usability Lab across from the Mile High Ballroom (where meals will be served this week). At the Lab, you can get an early look at products currently under development—and influence important design decisions before they’ve been made.

Participants in this year’s Usability Lab have the opportunity to shape the next generation of Emerson technology. Here, a user puts a pressure transmitter and associated software through its paces. Stop by the Usability Lab across from the Miile High Ballrom to make an appointment.

"Users will have the opportunity to sit down with product development teams and provide feedback on ease of use and other issues as well," says Christina Koffskey, design analyst for the HCDI. "Volunteers can expect to spend 30 to 45 minutes with any of 12 different software and hardware designs across the full range of Emerson Process Management solutions," Koffskey says.

To participate, please stop by the Usability Lab to sign up for an appointment. Testing runs Monday 1:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 8:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m., and Thursday 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m.

And if shaping a more productive future isn’t enough, participants will also receive a $20 gift card and be entered into a drawing for a 128MB iPad 3, complete with Class I Div 2 case. And, in the afternoons, there will be brownie ice cream sundaes, too.
