December 16th, I was hosted by the Center for Cyberspace Research at AFIT to deliver a lecture on ICS cyber security which appeared to be well-received. The lecture was from the perspective of the industrial community. In my view, AFIT is one of the technical leaders in defending ICSs. Some of their research activity includes developing root kits for PLCs, digitally fingerprinting field devices for authentication and performance, testing building controls, and development of a city-sized SCADA research test-bed that hosts five major critical infrastructure systems at a place called the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Southern Indiana.
