SECURITY INCIDENTS ORGANIZATION CONDUCTING FIRST CONTROL SYSTEM SECURITY BENCHMARK SURVEY

SELLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Security Incidents Organization will conduct its first control system security benchmark survey beginning Wednesday, February 15, 2012. The information gathered from the survey will help the automation industry better understand the present state of control system security in industrial facilities.

The Security Incidents Organization operates the Repository of Industrial Security Incidents (RISI), an industry-wide repository for collecting, investigating, analyzing and sharing critical information regarding cyber security incidents that directly affect SCADA, manufacturing and process control systems. RISI members receive reliable incident information that allows them to learn from others’ experiences, understand the risks associated with industrial cyber threats, and adapt their current security policies in step with changing industrial cyber-security dynamics.

The survey results will be published in the RISI Annual Report. Moving forward, the Security Incidents Organization will conduct this survey annually with the intent of establishing a benchmark and measuring industry progress.

This survey is open to all control system or IT professionals working for companies that own and operate industrial control system equipment.  The survey can be found at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RISIannualsurvey.

Founded in 2009, the Security Incidents Organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to collect, investigate, analyze and share critical information regarding industrial cyber security incidents on a nondiscriminatory basis. Security Incidents is guided by an advisory panel comprised of leading industrial automation users, consultants and suppliers.  For more information log on to www.securityincidents.org.
