Control Marks 20th Anniversary

This coming October will mark 20 years since the very first issue of Control magazine hit the streets in October 1988. Over the coming months, the editors of Control will produce a series of video-based prognostications, which we’ve dubbed FutureCasts, on the ongoing development of various aspects of process automation technology and of the practice of the profession we all share.

This month’s featured FutureCast is all about industrial networking technology – that is, the increasingly prevalent use of digital communication protocols to communicate and integrate process control and plant information streams.

FutureCast: Industrial Networking

Keith Larson, Putman Media vp of content and longtime editor of Control, reviews the ongoing development and increasingly prevalent use of digital communication protocols to communicate between and integrate process control and plant information streams.
