Omnex Control Systems and 3e Technologies International (3eTI) have entered into a joint development partnership to create secure wireless solutions for the industrial market sector. These solutions combine wireless ISM band radios and industrial control systems from Omnex with 3eTI’s secure 802.11 wireless technology. Both companies are experienced in the development of solutions for harsh and industrial environments.
The industrial community has been clamoring for wireless solutions, but implementations have been slow due to security concerns, according to both companies.
3eTI and Omnex have long track records in the deployment of wireless systems in extreme environments, including process automation factories and industrial control plants. According to John Jacobs, Vice President of Product Management and Sales at 3eTI, “Security, reliability, and deployment flexibility are central concerns of most wireless users. The value created by the combined experience and technologies of the Omnex and 3eTI team will set the standard for wireless solutions in the industrial market.”
