Invensys unveils SAP-certified applications for production and finance

In another step toward plant-floor to enterprise integration, Invensys has unveiled two new “Certified Packaged Composite Applications (PCA)” that leverage its relationship with ERP giant SAP. The applications, Real-Time Finance and Real-Time Production Execution, are certified by SAP to carry its xApps—Powered by SAP NetWeaver label.
The Real-Time Production Execution composite application, developed by Wonderware, is a pre-integrated solution for dispatching, executing, monitoring and evaluating manufacturing production and performance runs in SAP-equipped discrete, batch and hybrid plant operations.
The Real-Time Finance composite application, developed by Invensys Process Systems, is designed to help align process manufacturing operations with business objectives by providing managers in process and packaged goods manufacturing companies with real-time (as opposed to daily, weekly or monthly) information about and visibility into production-related financial performance.
As a member of SAP’s Consumer Packaged Goods and Chemicals Industry Value Networks, Invensys will market these PCAs globally to customers within these and other process industries.
