Phoenix Contact recently opened its new Customer Technology Center (CTC) in Houston. Top company officials from the U.S. and Germany held a news conference and hosted tours of the CTC to mark the grand opening.
The 15,000-sq. ft. center features a large demonstration room, training facility, and application lab. The facility is designed to give Phoenix’s users more personalized support and training, especially those in the process and energy industries.
"Phoenix Contact believes in the importance of globalization in industry, so we can be closer to our customers," says Frank Stührenberg, Phoenix’s senior global sales VP. "Houston is the epicenter of the oil and gas industry, not just in the U.S., but throughout the world. It’s critical for us to have a major presence here."
Jack Nehlig, president of Phoenix Contact USA, adds that, "In recent years, U.S. manufacturing has dramatically rebounded, particularly in the process industries. Phoenix Contact has a long history of serving process customers, and we are a significant player in these growth markets. Our new technology center underscores our commitment to these customers."
