Air Products signs on for three more years with Siemens
09/10/2007
ATLANTA, Sept. 10 -- Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a global alliance extension with Air Products, the world's largest supplier of hydrogen and a leading producer of industrial gases and chemicals for high growth markets. Siemens will supply Air Products with automation and drives hardware, software and system solutions, as well as engineering, design, fabrication and support services. The agreement encompasses all countries where Air Products conducts business.
The extension builds on an original agreement that began in 1997 when Air Products aligned with Siemens for its global reach, support and commitment to the process automation marketplace. The agreement was subsequently renewed in 2002.
Bob Conley, Air Products' vice president of Engineering says, "The alliance was extended because Siemens listened to the needs of our various businesses. They have worked side-by-side with us as we improved the productivity and profitability of our manufacturing operations.
"Siemens has been able to expand the technical capabilities of our product and service offerings because of our alliance with Air Products, says Ralf-Michael Franke, president, Siemens Industrial Automation Systems. "Air Products is a valued partner and we look forward to continuing our relationship for many years to come.
