Standard Automation becomes Wonderware West

Oct. 23, 2007

As of October 1, 2007, Standard Automation & Control, LP, a member of the MTL Instruments Group, is changing its name to Wonderware West. Standard Automation has represented Wonderware for nearly 16 years and has earned a reputation as one of Wonderware's leading distributors worldwide. Over the years, Standard Automation has been the recipient of many distinguished awards for customer service, outstanding technical support and sales achievements.  In 2001, 2003, 2006 and 2007 Standard Automation won the Wonderware Distributor of the Year award. Our customer service department has been praised by many clients as being a premier source of technical information.

“This change more closely aligns us with Wonderware and will continue to strengthen our relationship with our valued partner” states Dennis Gillespie, President MTL Open System Technologies (MOST). “Our strong Wonderware relationship has been essential for the continuing success of our distribution business. In addition, as an integral part of our MATRIX process automation system, Wonderware will continue to play a strategic role in MTL’s future.”

"Distribution and support of the Wonderware product family has always been the primary focus of our business. Our ability to use the Wonderware name is a natural progression which simplifies and strengthens our local brand position." says Mike Barber, Vice President of Wonderware West. "As plant floor and business systems continue to merge, our customers have expressed a preference to work directly with the source of the solutions rather than through an intermediary. When you combine our ongoing investment in training, support and certification with our long standing Wonderware relationship, this change will make our organization indistinguishable from a wholly owned entity of Wonderware,” concludes Barber.

Wonderware West is the sole distributor for the Wonderware range of production and performance management solutions in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Eastern Montana, Southern Nevada, Arizona and Southern California.
