ISA sponsors industrial network security course

Research Triangle Park, N.C. October 23 - ISA's one-day course, "Securing Industrial Networks: Cyber Protection for Automation, Control, and SCADA Systems" will be held in conjunction with Remote Monitoring & Networking 2007 at the Radisson Ft McDowell Resort & Casino in Fort McDowell, Arizona.

This popular course focuses on computerized factory automation, process control, and SCADA networks, and their vulnerability to hackers, spies, and saboteurs. It will teach students the basics of cybersecurity, and how to apply it to their industrial networks.

The one-day educational program, taught by Wayne Manges of Oak Ridge National Labs, will kickoff the event on Monday, November 5. The conference and exhibition will follow on Tuesday and Wednesday. ISA training students receive free admission to the exhibit floor with their course registration.

Remote Monitoring & Networking 2007 focuses on the leading advancements for the monitoring and management of distributed equipment and facilities, remote assets, automated process and system controls and device networks. Large-scale users and industry experts will speak on SCADA, security, control, automation, M2M, networking, telemetry and condition monitoring.
