ISA selects Wurldtech to provide industrial cyber security tool
01/24/2008
Vancouver, British Columbia – Wurldtech Security Technologies has announced that the company has been named by ISA as an approved service provider to support users of the newly launched Control Systems Cyber Security Self Assessment Tool (CS2SAT).
The CS2SAT application, developed by Idaho National Labs as part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Control System Security Program, is an online tool that provides organizations that use SCADA and industrial control systems with a self-assessment tool for evaluating the security of the control system. As part of a marketing and distribution agreement between the DHS and ISA, the ISA’s Automation Standards Compliance Institute has selected industry leaders such as Wurldtech to participate in implementation and support services for this newly launched tool.
"We congratulate ISA and the DHS for the launch of the CS2SAT tool,” said Tyler Williams, President and CEO of Wurldtech Security Technologies. “Cyber security is a significant concern for all industrial organizations, and the CS2SAT tool will help to mitigate risks before they threaten or damage confidence in the industrial automation community.”
As part of the customer service program, each purchased CS2SAT license includes two free hours of phone support from ISA approved industrial automation controls security experts. Wurldtech’s VP of Security Services, Bryan Singer, CISM, CISSP, Co-Chair of ISA SP99, who participated in the review and acceptance of this tool for the ISA, will lead the company’s support services efforts as one of the security experts selected to assist buyers to successfully implement the application.
The CS2SAT tool consists of a detailed questionnaire designed to address facility specific control system information. Results are collected and appropriate recommendations to improve the system's cyber security landscape are presented. The CS2SAT is based on control system related federal codes, industry standards and best practices to assist individuals performing an assessment in identifying actionable control system cyber security mitigations.
For information about the CS2SAT tool, including capabilities, pricing and availability, please visit www.isa.org/asci/CS2SAT. The CS2SAT tool may be purchased from ISA's Security Compliance Institute by emailing cs2sat@isa.org or calling (919) 549-8411.
