ABB combines two North American events for 2009
10/14/2008
Norwalk, Conn., ABB announced that it has combined its two popular North American customer conferences into one single, unique event. ABB Automation & Power World will be held at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida, from March 24-26, 2009. The new event merges the established ABB Automation World and ABB Power World customer conferences into one comprehensive users conference and exhibition that will showcase ABB’s extensive offerings and expertise under one roof.
The convergence of key market issues, such as the need to improve energy efficiency in the face of soaring energy costs, and the productivity, reliability and safety gains achieved from process and electrical integration, have exponentially increased interest in both power and automation. ABB’s unique scope of supply and resident expertise addresses the entire spectrum of the energy issues, from generation and distribution to use in production and automation.
The three-day conference offers automation and power customers the opportunity to participate in more than 300 workshops, collaborate with their peers as well as ABB technology experts, partners and executive management, and visit the enormous 70,000 square foot exhibit hall. The expanded exhibit area will feature ABB’s comprehensive product, service and technology offerings for industry and utility customers.
ABB designed its largest customer event for automation, robotics, industrial power and utility power users in engineering, operations, mill, plant and general management, and executive management in a wide variety of industries.
