Extronics, the Congleton, UK-based specialist in intrinsically safe and explosion proof technologies, has introduce a new Automatic Mustering and Personnel Location system based on Aeroscout Wi-Fi network technology. Scalable from tens to thousands of personnel, the system accounts for personnel during an emergency, locating missing or specific personnel with pin point accuracy. The system, which can grow to provide a complete site-wide personnel and asset location and tracking solution, includes location receivers, Wi-Fi access points, tag exciters, active RFID Wi-Fi tag and web browser-based software, with intrinsically safe and explosion proof versions of the hardware available for all hazardous process industries. Also incorporated is AeroScout’s MobileView software which supports such functions as Report Generator & Viewer, Event Engine, Alert Manager, Mapping Tools and User Access Manager and integrates with other applications and systems such as SAP and the site DCS.
