ISSYS and Endress+Hauser partner to develop advanced MEMS-based fluidic products
06/30/2009
YPSILANTI, Mich. - Integrated Sensing Systems, Inc. (ISSYS) in Ann Arbor, Mich., and Endress+Hauser Flowtec AG in Switzerland have announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership to collaboratively develop and commercialize advanced sensing fluidic products based on ISSYS' MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems) technology.
The partnership is comprehensive and will maximize the strengths of the two companies. Targeted markets include both the traditional industrial process industries and emerging process and OEM applications that demand novel, high-performance measurement capabilities.
Dr. Nader Najafi, ISSYS CEO, stated that "There is a great synergy among ISSYS' highly nabling MEMS sensing technology and Endress+Hauser's expertise in manufacturing and international sales and marketing. Such a strategic partnership will expedite the introduction of novel products with unprecedented performance within broader emerging markets. We appreciate the minority share that Endress+Hauser has acquired in ISSYS and look forward to working together."
"This collaboration with ISSYS fits very well with Endress+Hauser's strategy, and our company's long history of continuously adapting our offering to meet our customers' requirements," said Mr. Klaus Endress.
