TÜV Rheinland accredited for Indonesian certification

NEWTOWN, Conn. — North American manufacturers looking to export to Indonesia may now tap into local TÜV Rheinland knowledge and expertise for a full spectrum of Indonesian certification services, including developing compliance strategies, identifying standards and requirements, conducting the necessary testing/evaluations and preparing and submitting the required documentation to TÜV Rheinland Indonesia for certification.  This is made possible because TÜV Rheinland Indonesia has earned accreditation from the National Accreditation Body KAN for issuing Indonesia SNI (Indonesian National Standard) Approval.

To enter the Indonesian market, SNI Marking is mandatory for electrical products, automotive components and steel articles. Currently 23 scopes for product certification have been granted to TÜV Rheinland Indonesia with more to come in the future.
“For the sales of products abroad, constant monitoring of the regulatory requirements in the target market is essential,” said Peter Merguerian, North American manager of international approvals. “Not only is this accreditation a benefit to TÜV Rheinland Indonesia, but it also opens up many opportunities for our offices in North America and around the world in assisting local manufacturers with customized market solutions.”
