Honeywell Helps Drive Efficiency and Safety in Fuel Depot
Honeywell announced that Petrovis LLC, the largest petroleum provider in Mongolia, is using Honeywell technology to improve the efficiency and safety of a newly constructed fuel depot near the capital, Ulaanbaatar. The fully automated terminal will become Mongolia's largest and will help meet rising demand for petroleum products, particularly in the mining and transportation sectors.
Honeywell solutions – including the latest Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS), OneWireless solution and Digital Video Manager – will be used to maintain operational efficiency and strict safety standards at the Petrovis terminal. Additional Honeywell solutions being installed include the Honeywell Enraf Tank Gauging System to control, measure and monitor tank farms; fire alarm and gas detection system to improve safety and security; and a Truck/Rail Car Loading System to streamline the logistical distribution of fuel. Honeywell is also providing front-end engineering design and consulting services.
