Honeywell To Deliver Tank Gauging and Monitoring Solutions for Heavy Lifting Ships, and Provide Accurate Real-Time Data Onboard Two New Vessels

Honeywell has been selected by Brodosplit Shipyard Company of Croatia to install its Tank Gauging and Monitoring Solution onboard two new top-segment heavy lift vessels (hulls 473 & 474) currently being built at the Brodosplit Shipyard for Dutch-based Jumbo Shipping. Once in place, the systems will provide real-time, accurate, reliable data about onboard tank levels and volumes, allowing safe and swift operation at sea as well as during the loading/unloading process.

According to Tanja Jadresic, spokesperson for Brodosplit Shipyard, Honeywell was selected because of their experience in tank gauging systems and their global support capabilities. "The Honeywell system complies with the classification society's regulations as well as the ship owner's requirements regarding quality of build and use. Their monitoring software will also provide detailed information about the system and will have a high level of integration with the onboard automation system and the loading computer, boosting operational efficiency," said Jadresic.
