Siemens Lleva a Mexico una Nueva Turbina de Alta Eficiencia

Siemens Energy ganó el primer contrato en la región de Norteamérica para suministrar una turbina industrial de gas clase SGT-750 para la empresa Energía MK KF, subsidiaria del fabricante textil Grupo Kaltex.
Esta tecnología comenzará a operar en octubre de 2013 y generará electricidad para todas las instalaciones textiles del Grupo, con lo que la nueva turbina de Siemens cubrirá aproximadamente el 40% del total de las necesidades energéticas de Kaltex en México.
El proyecto comprende una planta con una capacidad de 36 megawatts (MW), que se ubicará en Altamira, Tamaulipas. Una tercera parte de la capacidad eléctrica total será utilizada para dicha planta, mientras que dos tercios alimentarán a la red eléctrica para otras instalaciones de Kaltex en México.
Esta tecnología de última generación destaca por su alto grado de disponibilidad, fiabilidad y eficiencia eléctrica, que alcanza hasta 38.7%. Además del equipo, Siemens se encargará de la instalación y la puesta en marcha de la turbina de gas, el generador eléctrico, la caldera de recuperación, así como sistemas auxiliares.
La primera orden para una turbina industrial de este tipo fue en 2011, por parte de WINGAS, una empresa conjunta de la filial de BASF Wintershall y la rusa Gazprom.
