Explosion at Indiana:Fertilizer Plant Kills One

June 24, 2013
Explosion appears to have been in grain bin. No chemicals involved.
Another day, another plant explosion. This one took place at Union Mills Co-op in Union Mills, Ind., about 50 miles from Chicago in northwest Indiana. Although the plant does store fertilizer, it looks like, at this point anyway, chemicals weren't to blame. The co-op also stores grain and the explosion took place in one of the silos. Dust would seem to be the culprit in this case. For the little bit known right now, go here for the complete story.
