Pepperl+Fuchs launches TechTalk – a weekly podcast that will help listeners gain insight into modern automation technologies by focusing on AS-Interface (Actuator Sensor Interface) and its associated safety technology, Safety at Work. Each podcast is 5 – 10 minutes long and follows a conversational/interview format. TechTalk will cover topics ranging from hardware selection to installation and maintenance.
TechTalk podcast are hosted by Helge Hornis and Tim Cicerchi. Cicerchi is an electrical engineering graduate and while at Pepperl+Fuchs he has been a product manager for AS-Interface, RFID systems, and barcode systems for the past 10 years. Hornis has a PhD in physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. For the last 16 years, he has been responsible for Intelligent Systems at Pepperl+Fuchs. In addition, he holds a seat on the board of AS-Interface USA – a user organization focused on the promotion of AS-interface as an open, international networking standard designed for low-level I/O and the interfacing of safety devices.
Hornis says that with these podcasts, control engineers who are familiar with AS-Interface will get the latest news on specification enhancements, new products, and will also learn troubleshooting methods, tips and tricks.
You can listed to the podcasts through iTunes and the Apple website or at http://pepperlfuchs.libsyn.com/.
