Siemens Industry, Inc. will be hosting its 2013 Automation Summit in New Orleans on June 24–27, 2013. The theme of this year's summit is "Community. Experiences. Productivity." Registration is now open and attendees can take advantage of the early bird pricing by registering before April 15th.
Siemens is also encouraging industry professionals to submit papers/presentations to feature at the event. Submitting material for the summit gets your registration fees waived.
The Summit will provide engineering and operational professionals, automation and operations management and senior-level executives with end user learning opportunities covering the complete spectrum of automation--from process and discrete to motion control and drives.
What you can expect at this year's Summit is IndustryWeek keynote speakers and a panel discussion about trends in automation, technology, productivity and energy efficiency. These are hot topics that are driving competitiveness and growth in the manufacturing sector.
According to Nigel Hough, engineering director for Columbus Brick, and a new member of Siemens User Advisory Board, Siemens Automation Summit is beneficial to both an individual and his/her company, because it empowers both through networking and the use of best practices.
On the first night of the conference, attendees will be welcomed at the Connect Event 3.0. This is a BYOD (bring your own device) gathering, where participants are encouraged to bring their iPad, iPhone, or any other mobile device to build, connect and maintain relationships among users and solution partners throughout the four day conference.
The conference will also offer 50 breakout sessions of best practice sharing, complimentary hands-on training, networking opportunities, and the opportunity to provide product input and prioritization for future Siemens product enhancements.
Lastly, Siemens' Customer Excellence Awards will be announced at the summit. This award recognizes top end user, OEM and solution partner for the innovative application of Siemens products and solutions.
