June 10, 2015
Brilliant minds meet to display, share, and develop ideas at annual conference.

Many of the world’s most brilliant minds from academia and industry convened earlier this month in Nashville to share research, applications, industry solutions, case studies and discoveries designed to change the world. Industrial and systems engineering  faculty and students from North Carolina State University showcased research, development and applications across advanced manufacturing and service sectors including biomedical manufacturing, health systems and logistics.

As a wide range of technologies and projects were featured, some of the highlights included medical implants with infection-fighting battery packs,  3-D printing titanium hip implants, analytics modeling to manage human assets in real time disaster scenarios, silver nanotechnology and expanding skin graft issue to minimize skin harvest.
