Schneider Electric Software recognized several users at its 2015 Software User Conference for Avantis, eDNA, EBS and PRiSM products on Oct. 19-21 in Chicago. Awards were presented for original and advanced uses of Schneider Electric Software solutions, including its Avantis and Wonderware software:

  • Duke Energy received the Avantis PRiSM Catch of the Year for early identification of a steam turbine rotor issue that saved several million dollars.
  • CF Industries received the Avantis.PRO Asset Excellence Award for incorporating new functions that enabled the company to achieve significant cost savings through streamlining processes, aggregated sourcing and performance analysis.
  • South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCE&G) received the eDNA Innovation Award for best real-time data management infrastructure. SCE&G has dynamic eDNA View screens and a "reliability wallboard" for improved situational awareness.
  • San Francisco Public Utilities Commission won for Best eDNA View display for creating a comprehensive display that shows the vital indicators for water storage, flow, power and quality across sites in one highly informative screen.
  • National Grid was presented with the eDNA Most Creative Custom Application Award for developing a custom application that displays projected solar and wind forecasts, as well as voltage forecasts. The application enables engineers to see current and near-term future trends at a glance.

"Our customers continue to amaze us year after year with advanced applications of our software that enable them to solve business challenges, control expenditures and improve overall operations," says Rob McGreevy, VP of information, operations and asset management at Schneider Electric.
