A line of four enhanced I/O expansion modules offer up to 32 digital I/Os per unit, plus three additional analog inputs. Equipped with detachable plug-in I/O connectors, the XL-IO modules can be expanded up to 8 times with the use of an EX-A1 expansion adapter and can also be used together with regular I/O modules. On the other hand, the XL-
EX modules do not require an expansion module since it is built into the module. Being the first link to a PLC, up to seven XL-IO, or regular I/O modules can be connected to it.
