Model 535 Process 1/4-DIN PID process controller handles any variable in batch and continuous processes, and samples 10 times per second, making it ideal for pressure and flow applications. The 535’s universal process input and modular, field interchangeable outputs allow much greater flexibility. Equipped with an RS-485 serial communications interface, 535 provides fast and accurate data transmission. Its control algorithms, include Powertune tuning algorithms that allow users to quickly configure and gain control of their process.

Powertune includes three tuning versions: Pretune, Powerback and Adaptive Tune. Pretune lets the controller automatically learn the process, and will self-set the PID tuning parameters used to control the process. Powerback is used when the process can't tolerate any overshooting of setpoint.  Adaptive Tune allows 535 to continually watch and monitor the process, looking for load variances within the process. When such variances occur that don't allow the initial PID values to properly control the process, 535 uses its Adaptive Tuning feature to reconfigure the PID values to match the current process load and response times.
