New Advances in Flow Instrumentation

Need for Transporting and Accurately Metering Oil, Gas Prompted Latest Developments Says Lessons Learned Columnist Béla Lipták

By Béla Lipták

In my May column I described some new fiber optic flow meters used for the subsea measurement of multiphase flows (oil, water, methane). Now I will describe some other, more recent advances in the field of flow metering that occurred partly because of the need for transporting and accurately metering large quantities of oil and natural gas.
