ACTUALLY, WIRELESS WAS first proven back in 1904. So it is 100 years old, unless you consider smoke signals and drums part of wireless communication. We find wireless gadgets and some extremely useful products all around us, some good and some not so good. If a wireless gadget fails or proves to be unreliable, the worst that usually happens is that we get upset, dispose of the device and frown about the money we could have saved.

But what if such failure occurs in a factory, safety and security, hazardous, or other critical application? We are now facing a different situation altogether. The origin of such failure or malfunction does not always lie with the product. All to often it is a matter of wrong application and / or lack of understanding of wireless technology on the part of the user.
