This is the third and last part of Liquid Level Measurement whitepaper. The first part of this paper focuses on hydrostatic level measurement. The second part focuses on continuous liquid level measurement utilizing newer technologies. This third point level discussion part focuses on electronic floats, ultrasonic gap switches, thermal dispersion switches, conductivity probes and vibrating forks. Point level measurements are generally made to determine when to fill or empty tanks, protect overfill of a tank, and to protect pumps from running dry.
