Bruce Bathurst

Bruce Bathurst was Chief Technologist for Great Lakes Instruments (GLI) before starting his own company, AquaSensors LLC. The company--with an office in Brookfield, WI, and manufacturing facility in nearby Menomonee Falls--took shape in November 2002, designing and manufacturing analytical instruments for industrial processes wherever liquids are used. Its equipment can calculate the amount of oxygen in a vat of beer, or measure the level of bacteria in a wastewater treatment plant.

AquaSensors, under the leadership of Bathurst, is currently producing a series of all-digital, fieldbus-equipped wet chemistry parametric sensors (pH, ORP, conductivity, etc.) and recently won a Wisconsin Governor's award for entrepreneurial innovation that came with a $100,000 prize. The company's knowledge of the market for its products also has impressed its investors (See Angel Investors Take a Plunge, Menomonee Falls Business Has Bright Future, and Starting Over).
