2014 General Assembly Postponed Due to Nuclear Security Summit
The Fieldbus Foundation has postponed its 2014 General Assembly in Rotterdam due to travel and security restrictions associated with the upcoming Global Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in The Hague, The Netherlands. The Fieldbus Foundation's global FOUNDATION fieldbus end-user seminar has been rescheduled for the fall of this year in Europe (location pending), while its End-User Advisory Council (EUAC) meeting and business meeting will be conducted electronically. The Fieldbus Foundation has launched a new blog dedicated to providing comprehensive information about its open, non-proprietary FOUNDATION fieldbus technology. Final Specification for ISA100.11a Device Integration Released
The final specification for integration of ISA100.11a wireless field devices into FOUNDATION for Remote Operations Management (ROM) technology has been released. Beta Versions of DD Development Tools Now Available
Beta versions of the Device Description (DD) Services Kit, version 5.3.0, and Device Description Integrated Development Environment (DD-IDE), version 1.3.0 are now available. These tools have been updated to support DD templates, which provide an interoperable, standardized way for instrumentation companies to offer a variety of application-specific default settings for FOUNDATION fieldbus devices.
