For those of you irritated with us because we've been working for three weeks now to figure out why John Sever's XML code examples aren't working properly...we have good news. The XML fairy has visited us and treated us to a final fix...we think. I am reminded of Robert Heinlein's description of how the US Army is organized...and it applies to many organizations, maybe even yours. The Army, he wrote, is run by the Surprise Party Department. All the other departments in the Army are window dress...

The XML fairy has visited us and treated us to a final fix...we think. I am reminded of Robert Heinlein's description of how the US Army is organized...and it applies to many organizations, maybe even yours. The Army, he wrote, is run by the Surprise Party Department. All the other departments in the Army are window dressing, except the Fairy Godmother Department, which is staffed entirely by a single elderly GS-10 who is usually away on sick leave. But every so often, he wrote, the Fairy Godmother Department plucks out YOUR file and does something nice for you... Sound familiar?
