...for a UHT Milk Line as Case Study Steven Munoz Trochez, University of Cauca. Munoz presented a case study using S-95 models. Advantages of the Functional Data Flow Model: it is flexible and allows collecting information frome xperts by means of interviews, can be used in bedium or big companies, and it is not strict concerning its total developemnt. It allows companies the flexibility to analyze the functionalities and the information flows according to their own requirements. It would be a great complement to the documentation established for ISO 9000-9001 quality certification. Several types of Information need to be sent from the ERP to the MES and vice versa: production capability information, product definition information, production scheduling information, production performance information. We: 1. identified the material resource that are considered raw material, medium products and finished products. 2. carried out the definition of IDs and the properties of each one of the materials 3. grouped together each one of the defined materials in general classes. 4. Developed the material definitions and the material classes under the B2MML structure. Tips for the Material Model: for the developemnt of steps 1, 2 and 3 take into account the documents developed in any ISO 9001 quality certification carried out in the company. The creation of "materials class" is optional. To conduct the Equipment Model, we: 1. Referenced the equipment hierarchic model previously developed in order to identify and organize the equipment needed to make flaovored milk 2. defined the equioment class and their properties, grouping them according to similar cases 3. define the quipment classes 4. organized the classes under the B2MML structure Tips for the equipment model: Even thought he standard does not specify the use of the equipment hierarchy model, it could be a good practice to use it. Not all of the properties of the equipment class apply to the equipment that makes it up.. For the development of the Process Segments model we, 1. Id entified the process segments 2. Identified the dependencies 3. established the routing 4. specified the material and equipment segents  5. Defined the process segments The same things were done to define the instance of the production schedule development and all the other models they used.
