Institute to Provide Shipbuilding and Off-Shore Companies with Virtual Environments for LNG-FPSO Training and Technology Deployments

Honeywell announced that it has been selected by the Korea Marine Equipment Research Institute (KOMERI), to implement its UniSim simulation solution at KOMERI’s new Testing and Certification Centre being built in Geoje, Korea.

KOMERI is South Korea's leading research institute, specializing in the development and certification of marine and off-shore equipment. The new center will be equipped to drive the technological development of floating production, storage and offloading units for liquefied natural gas (LNG-FPSO) in the country. Honeywell’s UniSim software will provide a series of unified simulation solutions to improve performance throughout the lifecycle of the center, allowing KOMERI to create the virtual environments necessary to support LNG-FPSO training and education services required by Korea’s shipbuilding and off-shore companies.

Whether it is for simulation of on-line or off-line process unit design and optimization applications, UniSim has the capabilities to help customers realize benefits across the lifecycle of their facilities. Shipbuilding and off-shore companies can capture and share process knowledge, improve profitability, and maximize the return on their simulation investments.
