For air and gas flow measurement in SIS applications, ST100 Series Thermal Mass Air/Gas Flow Meters from Fluid Components International (FCI) have been evaluated and FMEDA report produced by Exida, an accredited functional safety certification company and classified as a Type B subsystem in accordance to IEC 61508-1 compliant to SIL-1.
The ST100 series features a large digital/graphical readout that displays all measurements. It offers multiple outputs with communications flexibility including 4-20 mA analog, HART, FOUNDATION fieldbus, PROFIBUS and Modbus. The ST100 is the world's first triple-variable thermal flow meter, measuring flow, temperature and pressure. The ST100 Series also features dual sensor systems, an onboard data logger and the ability to store five calibrations.
