CSIA certification expanding across the globe; first certified integrator approved in Africa

Never before has a control system integrator company from Adrica reach Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) certification levels, but GIL Automation has demonstrated the highest standards in business and management in the automation industry and CSIA has awarded it with CSIA Certified Level.

"With Gil Automation achieving CSIA certification, we are proud to say that we now have certified members on every continent with the exception of Antarctica," says Bob Lowe, executive director of CSIA. "More and more CSIA members around the world recognize the need to grow and sustain a successful integration company in order to meet the needs of industry clients now and in the future. By becoming CSIA certified, they are developing good business and management skills in addition to technical knowledge."

CSIA certification requires integrator companies to undergo an intense third-party audit and follow strict performance standards. Members must meet or exceed the 79 criteria taken from CSIA's Best Practices and Benchmarks Manual to become certified. An audit is required every three years to maintain CSIA certification.

"Certifications are important to all industries,” Lowe adds. “Being CSIA certified is the only way that directors of manufacturing, plant operations managers and other industry leaders know they are choosing and working with one of the most professional and capable control system integrators available."
