Cybersecurity threats to industrial control systems are real

Mar 03, 2016

Our very own cybersecurity expert Joe Weiss spoke at a recent Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable (GUIRR) in Washington DC to discuss cybersecurity issues on industrial control systems. The meeting touched on four key items:

  1. The state of critical infrastructure security in the United States and identified R&D priorities;
  2. Methods of modeling and assessing vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure security to prevent breaches or minimize cascading effects;
  3. How communication across sectors and public-private partnerships can enhance critical infrastructure security, and
  4. How pending legislation impacts physical and cyber infrastructure security.

Weiss speech focused on cybersecurity of industrial control systems, what it is and what is actually happening.  Here's what he had to say.
