Company reports the facility gives 70% of its U.S. and Canadian customers access to its 30,000 products within a 10-hour truck drive.

Festo fully opened its new logistics, assembly and education facility on Oct. 13 in Mason, Ohio, near Cincinnati. The event was part of Festo's 2016 International Press Conference, which included presentations, tours and visits with local end users Storopak and Hahn Automation. Festo's leadership reports the facility is the "North American brick" in Festo's global production and logistics network, and gives 70% of its U.S. and Canadian customers access to its 30,000 products within a 10-hour truck drive.

"Our customers in North America expect guaranteed supplies and next-day delivery at prices in keeping with local market conditions," says Dirk Erik Loebermann, COO and Festo management board member. "Our regional service center in Mason will secure our regional supplies to North America for many years ahead."
