Emerson buys Aventics

Emerson announced May 17 that it's agreed to buy smart pneumatics supplier Aventics from Triton for €527 million in cash. With central offices located in Laatzen, Germany, Aventics has approximately 2,100 employees globally and 2017 sales of $425 million. The acquisition is expected to expand Emerson's presence in this growing $13 billion market. Pending regulatory approvals, the acquisition is expected to close in the fiscal fourth quarter of 2018.
