Summary

The chemical industry grapples with several shared challenges. These include stringent regulatory compliance, sustainability imperatives, feedstock changes, the pursuit of energy efficiency, and the need to ensure product safety. Many chemical companies are investing in digital transformation, research and development, and sustainability initiatives to navigate these challenges successfully and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.

Enabling digital transformation begins with data and selecting the right instrumentation. This is a complex task due to diverse application requirements, the complexity of available instruments, the need for accuracy and precision, cost-benefit analysis, calibration, and maintenance demands, vendor selection, risk assessment, and long-term support considerations. Successfully navigating these challenges requires thorough planning, expert consultation, and a deep understanding of the unique requirements.

Michael Machuca, Director of Chemical Industry Marketing at Emerson, will lead a panel discussion with a team of robust Emerson experts such as Don Fregelette, Vice-President of Chemical Industry, Martin McDonough, Senior Business Development Manager, and Antonio Carlos Fernandez, Director of Product Management for Europe, about how informed decisions on instrumentation is vital for enhancing process efficiency, product quality, and overall operational effectiveness while achieving sustainability and profitability goals, which are essential in today's competitive and environmentally conscious business environment.
