Steps to avoid tank farms overfills
This presentation shows you how to avoid overfill incidents on tank farms.
Tanks of various forms and shapes make up what are commonly referred to as tank farms. Many of these tanks are used to blend various petrochemical products together to make gasoline and other products. Thousands of filling, emptying, and transferring operations go on each month in these tank farms. Most all are done safely, but some result in overfills. These overfills have led in a few cases to major incidents. This presentation, by W. L. Mostia, an expert with over 40 years of experience in the process industries (specifically petrochemical operating companies), explains the steps to take to avoid dangerous and costly overfills.
