Honeywell, Phoenix, Ariz., purchased the Operator Training Business Unit and some other businesses from AspenTech, Austin, Tex., allowing Aspen to clear itself with the Federal Trade Commission.

 MicroMod Automation, Rochester, N.Y., purchased the Micro DCI and MOD product lines from ABB Instrumentation, Rochester, N.Y. Micro DCI was originally developed by Fischer & Porter, and MOD was developed by Taylor Instruments. MicroMod will support the installed base of the products, and continue to enhance both lines.


Strahman Valves
, Florham Park, N.J., will acquire the assets of MG Process Valves, Méry, France. MGPV will be renamed Strahman MG and continue to operate from France.
SSA Global
, Chicago, acquired Marcam, Newton, Mass., from Invensys, London. Marcam provides industrial ERP software for process manufacturers.
Colfax
, Richmond, Va., acquired the Zenith Pump division from Parker Hannifin, Cleveland. ZP makes metering pumps, has facilities in Sanford and Aberdeen, S.C., 130 employees, and had revenues of $22 million in FY 2004.
Lubrizol
, Cleveland, purchased Noveon International, also in Cleveland, in a transaction valued at $1.84 billion. Both companies are producers of high performance, specialty chemicals. Noveon will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Lubrizol.
