Aug. 4, 2005

THE 2005 EMERSON Global Users Exchange Conference will be held October 3-7, 2005 at the World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The theme, "The Look of a Leader," sets the tone for the week-long conference where process manufacturers will share ideas, practices and proven solutions with fellow users and Emerson Process Management experts in an intensive program of industry business forums, workshops, short courses, paper presentations, speakers and technology exhibits.

“Led by our customers, this conference is one of the industry’s most comprehensive collections of presentations and workshops by users designed to educate and help their peers with technology selection and application, investment justification and automation strategy development,” says Bruce Johnson, event manager. “Attendees will hear from industry leaders how the technologies that power Emerson’s PlantWeb digital architecture are providing breakthrough results for process manufacturers worldwide.”

The conference will feature 253 workshops and 47 short courses, plus keynote speakers, management roundtables, executive sessions, product roadmaps, and an expansive technology exhibit hall. Session topics include:

  • Asset Optimization
  • Business Operations
  • Instrumentation
  • Process Optimization
  • Safety
  • Asset Reliability
  • System Application/product Integration
  • Valves/valve Automation

Currently, nine industry business forums are scheduled that include chemicals, contractors, food/beverage and consumer products, metals/mining/cement/glass, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, power and utilities, pulp and paper, and refining and petrochemicals.

The full conference agenda and other details are available at www.EmersonExchange.org.

“Throughout the conference attendees will share application best practices, tips and quantified business results while Emerson experts provide insight into new technology development and direction,” says Johnson. “Users will discuss comprehensive strategies for automation to take advantage of today’s technologies to ensure the future viability of their plants.”

Participants in previous Emerson Users Exchanges describe the experience as stimulating and highly informative. “Of all the supplier automation conferences that I've attended, this was the best. The content was incredible,” said Stephen Smith of Eastman Chemicals.
