Twenty-three new Anybus Communicator gateways offer faster and more efficient communications by connecting devices or networks via EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus and Profinet to control systems, removing isolated automation and increasing performance.
Powered by the Anybus NP40 industrial network processor, these gateways have new hardware and software, and instantly transfer data up to 10 times faster than their predecessors. Users can exchange more data because the gateways transfer up to 1,500 bytes to and from connected PLCs.
In addition, Anybus Communicator gateways have an optimized hardware design and intuitive user interface to get users up and running in minutes. Their forward-facing ports and DIN-rail mounting lets users install them close to connected devices, reducing wiring requirements. Users can also easily configure the gateways using drag-and-drop functionality in the web-based user interface, which is accessible via a dedicated Ethernet port.
