So much to see and so little time. If you've not yet had a chance to organize your priorities at Emerson Exchange, it's not too late to take advantage of two unique tools created to make organizing your schedule this week a bit less intimidating.
New to Emerson Exchange this year is an application that allows you to create and manage your own dynamic, personalized agenda—all from your smartphone or tablet. For "old school" Emerson Exchange attendees, the online Personal Scheduler also is available. It allows you to create a personalized schedule, then print it out for reference or export it in a range of formats compatible with most calendaring applications.
Smartphone App Eases Networking Too
The new Emerson Exchange Mobile App has several advantages over last year's offline tool, including dynamic updates and email notifications. This means there's no need to check in with the web-based application to process those inevitable scheduling changes. A news portal embedded in the app also will alert you to which sessions have been moved, canceled or changed.
You can use the app to navigate the exhibit displays and find the products you are most interested in seeing and learning about. And you can even search for other Exchange attendees by industry, company or track. Once you have found someone you'd like to meet, the app enables you to request a meeting directly with them.

Have handy the user name and password you used to register for Emerson Exchange, and you'll soon be browsing and searching through the hundreds of individual sessions available. See one that interests you? One click adds it to your schedule, and the app is even smart enough to tell you if your limited-attendance session is already booked to capacity. Designed to be seamlessly cross-platform, the Emerson Exchange Mobile App works on Blackberries, iPhones, and Android- and Windows-based devices.
Personal Scheduler Prints and Exports
Available on the EmersonExchange.org website, the Personal Scheduler is a web-based tool that enables you to create a personalized conference agenda online and then print or download it to your PDA, smartphone or other calendar application by following the simple online instructions.
You can add workshops, short courses, meetings, events and other sessions to your calendar or simply select them as "items of interest." The scheduler itself is dynamic—as changes are made to the master schedule of events, your personal agenda will be modified accordingly—but you'll need to log in and check your personalized agenda from time to time to be certain you are referring to the most current conference schedule and version of your agenda.
To use the Personal Scheduler, have handy the user name and password you used to register for the conference and log on to the Emerson Exchange website at www.emersonexchange.org. Click on "2011 Technical Conference" and the Personal Scheduler will appear on the left-hand navigation bar.
