My colleague Walt is not the only guy in the blogosphere beating the drum for STEM programs. I found this link this morning via Twitter. If we're going to get the kids into the kind of jobs that the country needs--and that will pay them decent wages--we've got to pull together and get the word out. Oh, and support teachers and schools that have STEM programs. And parents who start the kids out early showing them the fun of science (like my young friends who take their 3 and 5 year olds regularly to Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry to watch how things work.) No magic bullet here. Just a lot of different approaches all to the same goal.
