System protection profile for industrial control systems

Overview:

The first draft of the System Protection Profile for Industrial Control Systems, designed to present a cohesive, cross-industry, baseline set of security requirements for new industrial control systems, is available for download and review.

From the National Institute of Standards and Technology

THE PROCESS Control Security Requirements Forum (PCSRF) is applying the ISO 15408 Common Criteria methodology to develop security requirements for industrial process control systems. The System Protection Profile (SPP) has been written in such a way that it may be used as the basis for preparing a System Security Target for a specific Industrial Control System (ICS), or as the basis for a more detailed SPP for a sub-class of ICS such as a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA).
