Self-calibrating RTD for biopharma
iTherm TrustSens hygienic RTD is reported to be the world’s first self-calibrating temperature sensor, functions in situ, and calibrates after every sterilization in place (SIP) cycle, which eliminates the risk of undetected drift. TrustSens has a built-in, high-precision ceramic reference based on the Curie Point of the reference material. TrustSens measures temperatures from -40 °C to 160 °C (-40 °F to 320 °F), works in pressures up to 725 psi, and provides a 4-20 mA output with HART. It also has hygienic process connections.
Low cost, 32 signals, one twisted pair
Temperature Concentrator System (TCS) concentrates as many as 32 signals on one twisted pair, which delivers precision measurements at less than 25% the cost of comparable smart transmitters. TCS accepts any combination of RTD, T/C, mV and resistance/potentiometer inputs, and converts inputs to HART. At less than 5 in. wide, each loop-powered TCS module handles 16 measurements, and can communicate via Modbus RTU with an optional HART-to- Modbus converter (HMC) module.

Thermowell reduces fatigue failure
Rosemount Twisted Square thermowells dampen dynamic stress from oscillating vortex pressures that can result in vortex-induced vibration (VIV) and thermowell failure, and are reported to reduce VIV by more than 90%. They simplify process calculations by eliminating the need to size thermowells, and provide more accurate temperature measurements. They're suitable for use where conventional thermowells fail to meet the ASME PTC 19.3 TW standard for safe and reliable thermowell design.
Up to 1,000 bar and 135 °C
PT2000 pressure transmitters have a welded, stainless-steel measuring cell, no elastomer seals, and 316L stainless-steel wetted materials. The compact transmitter housing is gel-filled, eliminating problems caused by condensation. PT2000 can handle pressures up to 1,000 bar and process media up to 135 °C. PT2000 offers multiple output signals including 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, ratiometric, 1-6 V and 0-5 V. It's also IP67-rated, and has an operating range of -40 to 135 °C.

Loop-powered, dual-temperature with HART
MACX MCR-TS-I-OLP loop-powered, dual-sensor temperature transmitter supports more than 28 different temperature sensors. The module also accepts -20 mV to 100 mV and linear resistance ranges from 10 ohms to 2,000 ohms. On the output side, it features a dedicated 4-20 mA signal with HART. At only 12.5 mm wide on a DIN rail, MACX MCR-TSI-OLP is thin, but the wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C makes it widely usable. Approvals include ATEX, CSA, FM, EAC and UL Class I, Div. 2.

Software-configured splitters
SP233 isolated, two-wire signal splitters convert one millivolt or thermocouple sensor input into two proportional isolated 4-20 mA control signals for splitting/duplicating applications. They have removable wiring terminal blocks, and are powered via one or both output loop currents. Their USB connection to a Windows PC or Android device enables simple, precise configuration of I/O ranges and operational settings with free software. SP 233 also features high immunity to RFI, EMI, ESD and EFT, plus low radiated emissions.

Flow computer and RTU
Y-Flow product family includes Y-Flow YFFC field-flow computer and Y-Flow YRTU remote terminal unit (RTU). Y-Flow YFFC is a low-power, orifice-flow computer that measures AGA 3 orifice gas flows, while Y-Flow YRTU is a low-power RTU that measures complex AGA gas flow calculations and remote control applications. Y-Flow YFFC employs an EJX910A multivariable transmitter capsule and communication board, which uses a DPharp pressure sensor. Y-Flow allows up to two simultaneous flow runs on one unit.
U-pipe pressure gauge
PUM u-pipe pressure gauge excels at measuring low pressure ranges. It's suitable for monitoring filters and proving fan operation. The classic u-shaped glass tube design is mounted on an aluminum retainer plate. PUM is available in six standard lengths, and offers a direct reading of the water column. Connection to PUM is achieved with hose couplings at either end of the glass tube.
