The Gov'mint/Cybersecurity Minuet--Two Steps Forward, One Back

Don't know the exact implications of this. Thinking too hard about the games that go on in Washington hurts my head -- a lot. But having the "cybersecurity czar" resign even before she barely got started and having all the power brokers messing with her job doesn't sound good. The intentions seems good, but as usual, bureaucratic games are getting in the way. Read the whole sorry tale here. (Thnx to the Wall Street Journal.)

 •
Ms. Hathaway is only the latest of a significant list of people who have tried this work on for size and left. I have to think that there is something wrong about the way this work is structured that causes even very well qualified people to try it out for a few months and then leave.
