The following is the invitation from the US Air Force Cyber College:
Please join the US Air Force Cyber College for a Virtual Cyber Seminar featuring Mr. Joe Weiss, Managing Partner, Applied Control Solutions. He will present "Beyond Ransomware – Cyber Security is More than IT”. With the spate of public disclosures about ransomware incidents, why are the Chinese transformer case, SolarWinds impact on control systems, and other actual control system incidents not being discussed? It has been evident with the myriad discussions, articles, webinars, and government actions on cyber security that there is still a lack of understanding of what makes control system cyber security different than IT/OT network security. Unfortunately, our nation-state adversaries understand and are exploiting these differences.
The event will take place on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. CDT, and will be held online through TEAMS Meeting technology. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
